FAQs
Getting Started & Products
WHAT MAKES BATCHBAKE DIFFERENT?
We focus on producing high-quality, craft bakery products that are simple to operate in a busy café environment. Our range is designed to work alongside coffee, minimise waste, and deliver a consistent, premium experience without the need for on-site baking.
WHAT ARE YOUR BEST SELLERS? I’M NOT SURE WHERE TO START
If you're considering working with us, the easiest way to get started is with our First Order Starter Pack which gives you a selection of some of our most popular coffee shop bakes so you can taste the quality, see how they handle in your display, and understand how they sell alongside coffee. It's a simple, low-risk way to trial our range before placing larger orders.
CAN I MIX YOUR PRODUCTS WITH MY EXISTING RANGE?
Yes. Many customers introduce our products alongside their existing offer. Our range is designed to complement coffee-led menus and sit naturally within most café displays.
I AM NOT A COFFEE SHOP - CAN I STILL ORDER?
We supply mobile catering, such as coffee vans and carts, we can deliver your order to a residential address but just remember that we only deliver to businesses.
If you would like Batchbake treats for an event just speak to your caterers about placing an order with us.
Selling, Display & Performance
HOW WILL THE PRODUCTS PERFORM IN MY DISPLAY?
Our range is designed specifically for coffee shop environments. Products hold well in ambient display for the day, maintain their appearance, and are easy to portion and serve during busy periods.
HOW SHOULD I DISPLAY THE PRODUCTS FOR BEST SALES?
We recommend a clean, well-stocked display with a focused range rather than too many options. Products perform best when clearly visible alongside your coffee offer, with simple signage and consistent availability throughout the day.
WHAT MARGINS CAN I EXPECT?
Our products are designed to offer strong, consistent margins for coffee shop operators. Most customers are able to price comfortably within their local market while maintaining good profitability.
HOW QUICKLY DO PRODUCTS SELL?
This depends on your footfall and offer, but our best-selling lines are proven to move well in coffee-led environments. Many customers see strong repeat sales once the range is established.
Storing, Handling & Packaging
WHAT ARE YOUR STORAGE AND CARE GUIDELINES?
Our products arrive fully baked, ready to thaw and serve, giving you the flexibility to defrost exactly what you need each day. Upon delivery, place everything in the freezer as soon as possible, observing the Best Before Date on the outer packaging. Before service, remove all packaging and allow products to defrost at room temperature under a cloche or inside your cabinet. Multi-portion loaf cakes cut best whilst still frozen, using a sharp serrated knife. Follow the best before date and shelf life guidance on the case labels.
WHY DO YOU FREEZE YOUR PRODUCTS?
We use blast freezing technology that allows us to lock in quality at the point of production and give you complete flexibility in how you manage your display. You can defrost exactly what you need, reduce waste, and maintain a consistent offer every day.
HOW LONG DO PRODUCTS LAST ONCE DEFROSTED?
Once defrosted, most products are best used within a day. Specific shelf life guidance is provided on the case labels.
HOW MANY SHOULD I DEFROST EACH DAY?
This will depend on your footfall, but most customers quickly find a daily rhythm. A good starting point is to defrost a small quantity and top up throughout the day as needed. This helps minimise waste while keeping your display fresh and full.
WHAT PACKAGING DO YOU USE?
Our temperature controlled cartons and insulating pads are fully kerbside recyclable, ice-packs can be re-used or poured down the sink.
